Keeping mental health patients safe while they get physical and mental health care in hospital can be difficult. We are fully aware of the strains that this can have on authorities, employees, and family members. In order alliviate these pressures, Gryphon can provide teams to provide calm, trained, and professional support, allowing medical or security personnel to focus on their essential responsibilities. Our team members completely understand the intricacies of providing compassionate and discrete care while also protecting and supporting medical staff, family and friends, and the patient themselves.
Our observation service is intended to relieve stress on ward staff and police officers, allowing them to focus on their core responsibilities.
Once a patient is admitted to hospital, Gryphon staff will remain with them to ensure their safety and comfort.
Patients of any age can use our observation service at Accident and Emergency Departments, Section 136 rooms, or whilst waiting for an assessment and admission.

The role of the appropriate adult is to safeguard the interests, rights, entitlements and welfare of children and vulnerable people who require escorting from one location to another. Gryphon will ensure that during their transit period, they are treated fairly and with respect for their rights and entitlements
People who have been supported by appropriate adults have identified that there were benefits to mental health, emotional wellbeing, personal dignity and freedom from abuse. People also appreciated the support for other reasons such as more protected against mockery, intimidation, fear, dehumanising, bullying and isolation. Gryphon can offer the following support:
- We assist and support children, young persons and vulnerable adults who face many difficulties and have complex requirements
- We have qualified and experienced mentors and coaches.
- We provide support for escorts nationally and internationally.
- Our Appropriate Adults have completed extensive training in behavioural management.
- We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- We are personable, pleasant, and transparent.
- We are all extensively trained in dealing with serious adolescent violence, safeguarding, and mental health training for ‘young minds’.
- All of our staff have a current Enhanced DBS check.

Residents quickly gain confidence with personally tailored help from persons with whom they feel comfortable and secure.
Support is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and includes 1:1 assistance. We offer assistance in a variety of areas to help people live more enriching and happy lives.
We understand that making the change to supported living can be a major step, which is why we carefully prepare each transition to ensure that it is totally tailored to the needs of the individual. We are committed to making each new resident’s transition to our services as smooth and pleasant as possible. For some people, this involves making a gradual transition over a period of months to reduce anxiety and prepare them for the trip ahead. Throughout the process, our knowledgeable and courteous staff members provide assistance, advise, and encouragement.
Gryphon’s supported living services allow people more choice and control over their lives, empowering them to achieve their goals. We encourage each person to attain their full potential by offering personally tailored help that is assessed and monitored on a regular basis. Our residents grow more self-sufficient, obtain work, and integrate completely into their communities.

To instil a sense of self-worth and pride in the children and young adults we work with, our fleet consists of prestigious vehicles of the greatest grade and quality.
Our transport supervisors and close protection officers are all highly skilled professionals who provide mentoring and coaching from the start of our transportation services, and as a result of this methodology, we avoid the use of caged vehicles to manage challenging, complex, or violent behaviour. Cages and restraints are only used as a last resort.
All our vehicles are covered by comprehensive insurance that protects the client, the employee, and the vehicle. All of our vehicles are equipped with advanced GPS systems, the most up-to-date security and locking systems, and current optional additions to assure the safety and comfort of both our drivers and our service users.
For the children and young people with whom we work, our compassionate and humanistic approach is yielding outstanding results!
